Artist's Description

The Governor's Palace in Williamsburg, Virginia was the official residence of the Royal Governors of the Colony of Virginia. It was also a home for two of Virginia's post-colonial governors, Patrick Henry and Thomas Jefferson, until the capital was moved to Richmond in 1780, and with it the Governor's residence. The main house burned down in 1781, though the outbuildings survived for some time after.[1]
The Governor's Palace was reconstructed in the 1930s on its original site. It is one of the two largest buildings at Colonial Williamsburg, the other being the Capitol.

About Jack Schultz

Jack Schultz

Jack Schultz has always had a love for photography in which he tries to capture that little extra detail and beauty of things that most of us take for granted every day. Just recently his photography was featured on the cover of the best selling paperback by Jonathan Rosen called "The Best Minds" published by Penguin Random House. Last year my backyard was blessed with some of the cutest tree frogs ever. Please excuse the number of photos of them in my frogs and toads collection but I couldn't help myself. Favorite subjects include flowers, landscapes, local landmarks, wildlife and travel. A list of art festivals I plan to attend in 2024 will soon be under the blog section. Jack's photography is available...
